Kandinsky's work is inspiring to me because he focused so intently on colors and how they portray emotion. He also had synesthesia, and was a musician so his art was completely abstract and impactful in many ways due to his ability to see sound and hear color.
"He wanted to evoke sound through sight and create the painterly equivalent of a symphony that would stimulate not just the eyes, but the ears as well."-Ossian Ward
Since I am a musician as well I find his art brilliant, and I strive to incorporate all forms of art into my work. One more interesting and very impressive thing about Kandinsky's art is that the forms and shapes he created were almost mathematical and that is something that I feel many artists do not have the mind for.
